Its a fact. Its not only Nkrumah and every primary school pupil knows that. Its taught in our schools. And many people have been honored with street Names, Hospitals etc. Ghana remembers. It was needless for the president to waste the biggest stage of his young presidency on what we all know. He did not distort the fact. Rather his intepretation and understanding of the fact is pathetic. Should the children of Walter Sisulu, Oliver Tambo, Steve Biko etc go on complaining. Should the grand children of civil rights icons like Fredrick Douglas, Malcom X etc be bitter forever? The are respected and honored for their roles. But its Mandela for SA, and Martin Luther King Jr. for African Americans. There will always be one person, and for Ghana and Africa, with no apologies its Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah. Nana has the chance now to do better than Nkrumah. That should be his duty to his family. Rewriting history is not going to work. Would he take up the challenge? No, i doubt. Nkrumah is too big. Kwame doesn't belong to only Ghana anymore. Ask Mugabe, Banda, Nyerere etc

Yamin Joseph wouldn't know the true unadulterated history of Ghana's struggle for independence even if it was right in front of him.
But how would he, when he seemingly lacks the mental composition to appreciate the fact that, the struggle for the independence and liberation of Ghana was not the declarative speech given by Kwame Nkrumah on March 6th, 1957 but the struggle for that independence started way before that and it involved men and women committed to that process dating back years.
He should be happy and grateful he learnt some good history on March 6th, 2017 from President William Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo. It should give Yamin Joseph some good perspective if he is willing and so-minded.

Fact is that, but for the 28th February incidence independence would have taken a while longer. Tell me, was it only Nkrumah who went on riot after the Cross-road massacre? No, it is not secret the politicians rode on the back of the general discontent and riots by the ordinary citizen to push for independence. Nkrumah was great, but he was not the only great one and no one was the greatest. I bet the greatest of them all is the least recognize because he worked tirelessly behind the scenes mapping out strategies etc. Lets discuss bread and butter issues of today and stop this "nonsense" of who is the greatest and who is not.
