The former Accra mayor had his fault but laziness was not one of them.Government Officials need to get out of their offices to get to know and understand their duties and the country's problems on first hand basis.Even countries like Germany and Japan who collect excellent data do not rely only on them to make decisions.Pay unanounced visits at different times of the day to various schools,hospitals,police stations,millitary bases,habours,projects.Don't sit in your officess and only stick your heads out when the President visits or when there is a tragedy.
