In short, the ancestors of NPP did not fight for our Independence. They wished to stay under Britain because they esteemed that the people were illiterates therefore the people did not merit freedom. Proof: NPP ancestors, after the 1954 elections, sent delegates to the Home Office in order to nullify the programme leading to self-rule. The Home Office turned down their request.

President Akuffu Addo must meet with members of the respective industries like education, sports and athletics, manufacturing, banks/insurance, technology/IT, market women and traders, import/export and small businesses, farmers, trotro/transportation, airlines, construction, healthcare/pharmaceuticals, chieftancy, religious organizations etc and listen to their concerns. what can we the govt do to make things better? what do we need to do modernize your industries? what must we do away with etc...I think if the President can make plans to meet with these sectors/members of the economy. It will be huge for his term in office.

Nkrumah was a communist and wanted to be like Stalin. At that time in the world when there was the cold war between UDSSR and the West. When Nkrumah gained much power to put others in prison cos they don't agree with him.
That was tyranny. I would have fought against it too. There were achievements he achieved but do people know the amount of money the British left us? He gave them to some other Africa countries to push his ambition. If Nkrumah was that good, how come he was exiled? It means that could happen cos majority didn't really like him.

Otherwise, why don't we keep quiet over our regrettable part in the despicable slave trade and only talk about what occurred after Nkrumah founded the CPP? Well said Nana.
