  According to Justice Apau university graduates have failed Ghanaians. The Sole Commissioner again took on politicians for using politics as an avenue to loot state resources to put up big houses and ride in flashy vehicles.

  According to Justice Apau university graduates have failed Ghanaians. The Sole Commissioner again took on politicians for using politics as an avenue to loot state resources to put up big houses and ride in flashy vehicles.
  
  He said people had created the perception that when you attained education, you must own big mansions and big cars at the expense of cocoa farmers and other Ghanaians.
  
  For instance, Mr Apau said, some politicians borrowed billions of cedis to dole them out to delegates, and went ahead to meet with traditional and opinion leaders to solicit support for national elections.
  
  He said when such politicians got the political office, they tried to make up for the money spent by looting state resources, while those who lost went into hiding.
  Regrettably, he said, people who looted state money would go to church on Sundays, dance and give out money to the church, thinking that God would forgive them.
  
  The Sole Commissioner said, for instance, the government established a task force to fight an illegal act, but members of the task force ended up as accomplices.
  
  As a result, he said, many ordinary people had lost confidence in the educated elites.

  i find it interesting that suddenly the mental fraternity are waking up which leaves one wondering where they have been. that not withstanding, i believe suicide is ones own choice of an easy way out and really nothing to do ...

  i find it interesting that suddenly the mental fraternity are waking up which leaves one wondering where they have been. that not withstanding, i believe suicide is ones own choice of an easy way out and really nothing to do with any form of medical or mental condition, ending it all by suicide or suicide by ending it all are the only options of a chicken minded person.
  
  i am not one to judge others, perhaps i am one of a few gifted by God to believe that he has a purpose for each and everyone of us, suicide is not anyone's destiny but that of the weak minded, vulnerable and spoilt brats in our society. Am sorry to say but we must learn to face our problems stronger in faith when we are down and not when we are still standing. I will say mushroom churches, pastor, preachers, doomsday prophecies by quack pastor, abuse of the holy book for all the wrong reasons are the major cause of these suicides. the only thing i say is to each and everyone of us, let us BELIEVE IN GOD THE FATHER GOD THE SON AND GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT WITHIN OURSELVES, let us first look within ourselves and not without.

  If Maham Led admis tration were to listen to the pleas of Dr Akwasi Osei our youths would have had a template to work on and producing results on these very issues instead of being victims.

  Society has, indeed, failed the youth. Now we don't seem to know how to raise up our kids anymore - many of us. We appear to be replacing our values with imported ones. To make matters worse we have both these expensive toys ...

  Society has, indeed, failed the youth. Now we don't seem to know how to raise up our kids anymore - many of us. We appear to be replacing our values with imported ones. To make matters worse we have both these expensive toys called 'android phones' and TOO MUCH INDEPENDENCE for the kids to such an extent that our kids detach themselves from us even when sitting in the same room. Yesterday, l met a kid who was playing a game with his 'toy'. He won 3 of the games but it was clear the toy won most of it. He was sad. He was about 5 or 6yrs old. The parent explained that that was how he always behaved when he lost a game. I tool him in a format he could smile at "....in life sometimes you win other times you lose. It is part of life and you must smile and decide to do better. But, you know, you are only playing with a machine...." It is important to teach our kids also to take NO for an answer in life.
