Even though most of them are from parliament, I still believe that they are too many. For instance we don't need three deputy ministers for the information ministry. Their basic salary of about Gh 13,000 would jump to about Gh 25,000 when their allowances are added. A weak economy like ours cannot pay there huge sum of money and still survive. In the end we might run to IMF for a bailout. Mr. President please reduce the number.

The creation of extra ministries and appointments of several "CHOP -CHOP " men and women is quite mind bugging. Most ghanaians, deep down in their hearts knows what is going to befall the already dwindling economy of ghana, with the opening of " CHOP - CHOP " avenue by Mr President but for fear of persecution sake, all mouths are kept shut. When a government decide to save a country from economic crisis, minimising of political appointees takes place as well as reducing of ministries. When the creation of zongo or gutter ministry was created by the new president, I laughed uncontrollably to the point of stomach busting. What is the need for such a ministry ? We are all aware that the progress of certain groups of people in the country is retarted both economically and socially but that doesn't call for a special ministry for them. For me, I see it as an insult. Such groups of people are being considered as backwards in this case. Zongo community dwellers are considered as the most downtrodden and the filthiest among others but I don't think so. Chorkor in Accra is not a zongo community but it is pathetically, one of the worst places on mother earth. There are a lot of places like that at Tema community one which we call " Sites ". Improving the lives of such communities don't need a special ministry. It is absolutely waste of resources. What is the duty of the ministry of local government ? The president need to be advised by people with brains but not "CHOP - CHOP " greedy monsters around him.
