NDC used the oil money to acquire illegal wealth for themselves individually -- petrol filling stations, gas stations, micro-finance outfits, Dubai and Mauritius investments, etc. The NPP wants to use the money to develop the nation.If obtuse-minded guys like Haruna Iddrisu cannot come to terms with this, who cares? When you produce oil and you don't use the money to expand infrastructure like schools, hospitals, roads, institutions e.t.c and you want to share it to students only then you will know where your end will be. There will be a time when all your schools will be collapsed and roads falling apart. It is not a wise decision to use moneys for development on only campaign promises of free SHS.

I didn't pay a cent for my entire two years at the 6th form. If the economy was able to absorb the budget then why cann't it support it now? I do accept that the number was very low but the economy was not as big as it is now.

Germany does not have gold nor oil but provides free education for all who find themselves in their educational system. They don't have home nor foreign students' fees! Their arguments are that lets train all and in so doing make contribution to development of human kapital. Secondly they believe that foreigners who pass through their educational system and are able to find work here in Germany will pay tax that will help to defray the cost of free education.

Back to Ghana. What is the need for keeping money in an account that attracts little or no interest and at the same time, borrow at a high rate to finance our budget. Secondly, what is the significance of heritage fund if the nation is not preparing the youth to prepare effectively for the future. What is the essence of keeping money for people who are not properly educated? Why is it that the very people who had some form of free education are fighting to derail such a very good initiative and lock lot of poor but brilliant ghanaians in the dark? Could he have gone to Legon without some form of state assistence? Should we call for the abrogation of the northern scholarship?

They had their own agenda of coming to power; to equally create and loot public funds as was been labelled on the Mahama govt. We know them(npp) already how they love money. Nana is equally not exempted. In fact, he's the biggest mafia and thief amongst them. As for Bawumia, he has finally become a trash to the npp. They only use northerners to win elections, but don't have them at heart. Npp claim to have all the big lawyers in Ghana, why didn't they use any of them in the witness box during the election petition, but rather they chose Bawumia instead who has no strong knowledge when it comes to law to do their dirty works in court? Not even Akuffo Addo, and I repeat not even Akuffo Addo who claim to be a lawyer of good standing could represent the party in the witness box. After using Bawumia to win the elections, what do we see? Bawumia has been sidelined in every public forum. Rather the lime light is on the senior minister. All of them in npp are in fact ARMED ROBBERS, MURDERERS, THIEVES, TRIBALISTIC and HIPPOCRATES. Ask yourself why the have slowed on the Wayome case, the Joe Osei Wusu corruption case in parliament. They are equally coming to steal and misuse public funds, hence they prefare to keep mute on thoses cases with the intent that Ghanaians easily forget. Corrupt and a thief Joe Osei Wusu.
