Substitute Frank Acheampong needed just one minute to announce his presence as he scored the only goal in Anderlecht’s 1-0 win over APOEL Nicosia on Thursday night at home to reach the quarter-final of the Europa League.
The winger replaced Nicolae Stanciu in the 64th minute in a tactical substitution and that proved pivotal.
His goal ensured Anderlecht wrapped up a 2-0 aggregate win to progress to the last eight.
Compatriot Dennis Appiah played the entire duration for the Belgian league leaders.
