How can a president illogically who had just taken up office without knowing what presidency is pronounced "Free SHS will start in September 2017" without considering what it takes to have free SHS.

How can we appoint all Ghanaians as ministers of state. In that case who is going to supervise who. I don't know why some academicians will decide to talk like serial callers. I don't think even party foot soldiers at the local level will behave like this. Look in countries where there are lean governments you will realize that governance is closer to the people. For instance, in federal republics like Germany, USA, Nigeria,etc, you will realize that a governor of a state has legislatures and secretaries/commissioners (ministers) at the state level to help them perform their mandate. This is not so with a centralized system like Ghana - especially when we have a very weak and ineffective civil and public service system. So with great challenges at hand, what do you expect the NPP government to do when the previous NDC government has increased Ghana's debt stock by 250% in just 8years. We need the expertise of these appointees to help us create health in order to be able to honour our monstrous obligations when they fall due.

I do not know if it was a slip of tongue or victory delusions that the president quickly and openly pronounced FREE SHS will take of in September 2017. I believe educational experts over there were shock but afraid to call him (president) in order.

Then you will really really protect the public purse!!! Why are folks are fixated on the face value of numbers (84, 93 or 110 ministers, a big deal?) When the real determinant,really, is the enormity of the task at stake!!!

Did anybody do any study to determine the optimal number of ministers that can run the government efficiently? I have not seen any such study yet!So therefore what is the basis of all the criticisms? Surely and objectively, the basis cannot be then numbers previous governments used. In particular, as different governments have different governance agenda. If you must comment on the matter, then I suggest you first look at the task the government has assigned to it self and the time lines it has planned to accomplish the tasks. It is then only that one can make an intelligent comment on the matter.

Akufo Addo, we understand, read some Economics at Legon. His policy to reduce unemployment by encouraging the youth to go into farming sounds very absurd. He should be reminded that as agriculture improves, few people are needed; a large block of workers being released to the secondary and tertiary sectors. More ministers(110), is really alarming. But it is not surprising as people of short stature want to do things to be seen or heard.
