President Akuffu Addo must meet with members of the respective industries like religious groups, education, sports and athletics, manufacturing, banks/insurance, technology/IT, market women and traders, import/export businesses, small businesses, farmers, trotro/transportation, airlines, railways, construction, healthcare/pharmaceuticals, chieftancy, etc and listen to their concerns. what can we the govt do to make things better for your sectors? what do we need to do modernize your industries? what must we do away with etc...I think if the President can make plans to meet with these sectors/members of the economy. It will be huge for his term in office. 38. pls, DECENTRALIZE gh police. each region must have their own police chief. once a yr, the police chiefs meet to discuss issues, modernity etc and vote for chief of police/igp who reports to the defence minister/minister of interior/Gh president. 39. BUILD REGIONAL CONVENTION CENTERS IN EACH REGIONAL CAPITAL 40. EOCO, CID, AND OTHER ANTI - PUBLIC SECTOR CORRUPTION PRACTICES MUST BE MOTIVATED TO PERFORM with IMPROVED, MODERN skills and capabilities to run complex undercover operations and surveillance. 40. all Gh universities must create an endowment investment fund where they invest school monies in equities, veture capital, commodities, real estate, public investments. 41. NO NEED FOR DEPUTY MINISTERS! ITS A WASTE OF MONEY N CLOUDS, CONFUSES RESPONSIBILITIES. !..IF THE CURRENT MINISTER DIES, APPOINT ANOTHER. This has been ignored by previous governments for far too long because the lack of such a mechanism, serves as a conduit through which ill-gotten wealth are channelled by government officials to their cronies.

Assuming those ministers did or didn't declare their assets to President Akufo-Addo, how do we know? Why the secrecy? Our Ghanaian politics provide conditions for corruption, bribery and self-enrichment. Some of these ministers and their families will soon be living lifestyles beyond their obvious means.

Therefore Ghanaians would be better served by full and frank public disclosure of their assets. There shouldn't be any confidentiality behind this. This promotes good governance and help fight political corruption and self-enrichment.

Is this the HONEST and OPEN Government Nana Akufo-Addo promised Ghanaians?
