As a child,anytime a goat had a kid we were told by our parents that the kids belonged to us and that we should take full responsibility for their feeding and anything related with the welfare of the goats as they grew up. Our parents would from time to time ask us how our goats were faring and we were always happy at the thought that eventually we also had a stake in the pen. The realisation that we were not the owners of the goats would dawn on us especially during when our parents slaughtered one of these goats. You were given a piece of meat that didn't befit your status as the owner. As the saying goes, 'monfa mo ahwoden y3 àdwoma nu na y3nfa y3n nyansa di'
