There should be strict restriction on imported rice to our schools and also to Waakyi sellers. These entities must buy the rice bumper harvest. There should be allocation for it in the fat national budget.

This farmers are really suffering, some can not even continue with this seasons farming cos they have not yet sold the previous one.Those who were able to start thinking along the way there will be market as it used to be can not get money to buy chemicals and the whole farm is getting damaged. This happened some years back and people went into great dept that some had to commit suicide cos they could not face it.I plead the government to come to their aid.

What stops us from giving it to them. We complain of Ghanaians to partaking in local rice. It is the best platform to reintroduce local rice into our people.
