When you follow what the rest of the world says about Africans on social media,you would be angry too.They laugh at us.Still living in mud houses and our backward treatment of our women,it is a wonder they haven't marched back to Africa to impose colonialism back on us.Can anyone give me an acceptable reason why 20 of our fellow citizens lay dead and scores others injured because a tree?Don't we have any sense of management?Don't we have workers and security at the Falls who periodically inspect the area for hazardous conditions?We cannot go on like this forever.We cannot always respond to preventable accidents.We are not a young nation anymore.We have to cease control of our country,our lives and our destiny before it is too late.

Does anybody know how many ministers without portfolio did Mahama have on top of his known 85 ministers with portfolios? I would rather have 110 ministers with specific assigned portfolio than to have 85 ministers plus several unaccountable ministers without portfolios. Kwadonto Pratt come again. A minister without portfolio is not accountable to the public and Mahama had many of them which if we were to add to the 85 known ministers would bring the number close to 110 ministers in the NDC gov't.

Safety is something serious here being for fire,snow or Tonados.You are trained as a worker and there are inspectors who always come unanouced to do their inspections,block 1 fire extinguisher the company pays $2500 fine, Tonado shelters are required and are inspected so they can manage some disasters, tree management is a university programe so that trees on the streets ,parks and tourist centres can be well managed from the type of trees, root system, anchorage ,branching ,height, foliage , age, pests and diseases and their impact on tourists.Do we have that in Ghana? we need to find out. Back to management; managers at the site if we have and the trip organizers could have instructed the students to move out of the water when they saw that the wind speed was changing . Shame unto any teacher or leader of the trip . I was a teacher and was part of trips with students to places like lake Bosomtwi,Boti falls and the Bunso arboretum.Somebody (parent)need to demand records on whether there was a responsible site manager,safety data for the site,precautionaey measures,trip organizer or teacher and if any of these is lacking ,proceed to court and sue the Ministry of Tourism,Forestry and water resouces . Some private lawyers must take this up.Thanks.

But to suggest that the surrounding trees will only affect the existence of the waterfall itself. Then you might as well remove the surrounding rocks. I hear there was a storm. So sad this has happened to us. Hmmm, I knew something like this was going to happen. The management never cared about the people, all they cared about was the money and money alone. I remember when we went there, we complained bitterly how slippery the stones were and how dangerous the trees were. One of our lady friend confronted them but nothing was done.

This issue should not be left. There should be thorough check on tourist sites so as to prevent such atrocities from occurring again.

May God grant peace unto thier family.

During the run up to elecetions in 2016 it will be recalled that Owusu Bempah warned Ghanaians not to vote for John D. Mahama because NDC had performed rituals to win elections, else the country would witness strange deaths. This is what is happening in Ghana since NPP won the elections.

We are still backward because we still allow JJ Rawlings who came from buying 'yo ke gari' on credit and shooting former Heads of States to being a millionaire to roam the country insulting the good people of Ghana and nobody is asking him anything. The men are quick to tell the women and children "I am a man" "I am older" even when when they are a day older than you. Rawlings sent the country a 'hundred years back'. His wife supposedly purchased a crown corporation and nobody has asked them anything. He destroyed the educational system so there will be more ignorant people. Now most of the kids finish university and they can't even write their own name. His wife sold dark brown uniform for dark students to wear, made all the girls cut their hair and look like boys so they will lose their self esteem and worship her children. If there are men in Ghana this is the sort of things they should be dealing with not making themselves into demigods and harassing women and children. Deal with Rawlings or shut up and go to the kitchen and let the women rule the country and make Ghana great again.

U can observe clearly that there's no life guard at the water fall even though peopl go there to swim every time and I don't know why they even allow that
Also this is just a wake up call to all those in charge at our tourist sites
Proper safety measures needs to be put in place

Before a tree topples over there are distinct warning signs. Where are the agricultural / botanical specialists? I'll bet they never take any field trips to inspect forestry parks/paths. They are sitting in their air-conditioned offices surfing the net!
