Ghana is 60 and owes 122billion cedis thanks to Mahama and the NDC.

Talking about independence for Ghana?

ITEM: The people are saying the approach Akufo Addo took to discuss the History of Ghana was totally wrong/disrespectful of the heritage of Kwame Nkrumah.

So, sure, that is not going to feed anyone.

Still, proper accounting of history is important. Kwame Nkrumah, after all, showed Ghanaians and Africans what it actually means to be independent.

Respectfully, if Dr. Nduom does not know or understand the difference here, Dr. Nduom must have a problem with "independence", service, and "governance" for the People who truly matter. From all that - food, clothing, housing, good health, enlightenment, even, grow.

History is important, and the way officials speak about that history does matter!

So where is the benefit of independence? And why has it not come? Thats a useful debate. Let's look forward. But Akufo-Addo must not attempt to re-write our history. We are watching his antics.

@60 , you should not be taking bribes before doing your normal work expected of you but today Ghana most take bribe before casting their ballot.

I am always encouraged by your insight and way of thinking. Ghana must be boasting of something great on our 60th birthday, but the reverse is the reality. The PPP is a great Party and Dr Nduom a great man.

It's really sad to engage in this unnecessary debate when there are more pressing National issues to talk about.

Ghanaian's deserve better and at 60 we should be better of than depending on aids. I agree with Dr. Nduom that " we should have matured at this age"
