The first thing that this useless government needs to do is to chase the so-called Kintampo Invisible Forces who have taken over the place without accounting to anyone how much revenue is collected! This is worse than corruption! It is armed robbery! How can we have a bunch of armed men chasing away experienced and qualified employees from such an important national reserve? Is it not strange that even after such a disaster, we hear nothing from the NPP concerning the presence of the Invisible Forces at the place? SHAME!

Aunty Becky, it's alright to share some tears and sympathize with the bereaved families; however, we need to equip the meteorological services department to provide effective weather forecasting systems all over the country. We need to establish local weather offices in all the districts to provide timely warning in the event of major storms, rains, high winds, etc. I'm sure, if such warnings had been provided, the students wouldn't have gone there that day. This tragedy occurred because, as a nation, we've shirked our responsibilities for too long. Don't blame this tragedy on "any gods". All we need is good weather forecasting system across the country to alert the people early!!! Please, talk to your husband to work on that.

Meanwhile,we never take steps to prevent such occurrences
We have no value for life in Ghana,all we care for,even among the youths, is how to spend money we don't have.
Most people have surrendered their abilities to use their God given brains,to better their own lives.
So called Pastors and Prophets are having a field day in Ghana.Because people have refused to think for themselves.
Is a pity that,in the year 2017 most Ghanaians even the educated ones thins everything in life is about spirituality .
The tragedy at Kintampo shouldn't have happened,if alittle bit care was taken.How can you send people to go swimming in a Waterfalls,when tropical rains are falling?

Unfortunately, the first lady cannot guarantee a "never again" reaction to this sort of tragedy. We are told that these people were on an excursion. We are told that it began to rain. No one can prevent rain. Indeed we welcome rain. We need it to improve vegetation. We are told the people who died or were injured, we're swimming in the lower part of the waterfall. We are told wind conditions uprooted a tree at the higher elevation of the waterfall which then came crashing down on the swimmers. All of these are coincidences and happinstances which are not by themselves necessarily reckless. Tragic results. If the kids had sought refuge in their school bus when it began to rain, the tree might have crushed the bus. Then what? There is nothing supernatural about these events, except to empty headed fools. Unfortunately, we have a lot of those in Ghana! Personally, I would not be out swimming while it is raining, but I am not willing to second guess someone who does. God rest their souks.

We are not safe in this country. Ghanaians must watch out and pray vehemently to deliver us from all these evil else we can't survive it as a nation.
