Esi, the area around Otuam is made up of poor inhabitants wh can hardly make ends meet. Many are not gainfully employed, the land is poor and not suitable for any meaningful agriculture. So how can parents send kids to school when they are mostly unemployed. I don't support totally free education but just like we do for our brothers in the North, we can do a similar thing for the South. There should have been a boarding and lodging facilities and their feeding subsidized. Library, light, computer, admission and sports fee should be cancelled. Those from Otuam town itself could be made to attend the school for free. This will encourage attendance. Subsidized meals for two meals a day could help. Our Cousins from the North do not pay for boarding and lodging. Bawumia and Mahama are from wealthy families, lived in Accra but attended school in the North for free. There are many others.

WE STILL HAVE VERY POOR STATE SCHOOLS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY THAT NEEDS TO BE RENOVATED IMMEDIATELY FOR USAGE - WHICH HAS BEEN IGNORED AND RATHER CONCENTRATED ON BUILDING PROPAGANDA E-SCHOOLS WHICH NOW IS GETTING EXPOSURE THAT ...

Most American high schools are community base high schools, no boarding.
The MP should add value to want has been done and stop complaining.
He can purchase a bus to pick the students.
