This is a very welcome idea but from the comments column, you will notice that there has been only one comment. This is an issue which should receive the attention of all of us but alas there is a deafening silence. How long can we go on this way? Apathy to sensitive national issues is killing this country.
Prof Frimpong-Boateng, some of us are happy with your suggestion. Please bring some pressure to bear on the implementing agencies and the private sector engaged in waste collection and recycling to sit up and make meaningful inputs to make this one idea a reality.

Look, stop talking about it. Do something about it instead. You are the minster for the environment. Provide households with plastic refuse bins that can be collected on a weekly basis. Do the same in the cities centres. Do something about the choked gutters as well. We need to see action not hear speeches and speeches that mean nothing. If you are not able to do these basic things, you have failed already.
