There was near pandemonium and confusion at the Annual Global African Investment Forum held in Westminster, Central London after a heated exchange between Ghana’s President John Mahama and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults.This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year. This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States, Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.

Now I see him like any other liar and propagandist because he said Prez Mahama would win the elections by 52.4% but it never happened. Even when it was clear that he had lost Ben kept saying that he would win. He said the same thing in 2012 but it never happened. Even with thw massive rigging of 500,000 votes Mahama just managed 50.7%. Now I don't ting anybody should bother to involve Ben in any electoral matters because he's only a liar.

Ghana is never going to vote for the NDC party again. The only solution left is for those who honestly believe that those principles on which the NDC was founded needs to be adhered to religiously without any deviation, to join the NDP.
NDC is dead and Rawlings doesn't want it back. It is dead! After Ghanaians tire of the NPP, the next party will be PPP. Ghana is not going to vote for thieves, criminals, dumb, corrupt NDC nationwreckers to lead this country again.
I want to help the NDC. Those who maintain and have some little bit of the values their party was founded on, should quickly enter the NDP, work very hard to make those principles relevant again which will take years so Ghanaians can consider the evolved NDC to lead Ghana in the future. NDC is coming nowhere near the seat of govt ever again. This is free advice.

Politically Rawlings is smart greedy and politically inmatured , a nature that he will never be willing to accept because he feels he formed the NDC. The major problem of Rawlings is that he does not have a social qualified character of how to share power and life with people when he is not in control.

Rawlings in this regard has the onesided behaviour like the Ashantis who are selfish and greedy and are not aware of such their anti progressive nature, thus make sure that when there is an issue and they do not full control they destroy the object in question.

This is the exact work Rawlings did to the NDC, but he forgets he can no more handle situation like the military time, and therefore the best way is to have matured mindset to help him intergrate with his party folks on equal level. A character that he can never portray, and that is the woes of the NDC.

Finally any rational sociopolitical person will tell you that Rawlings is the cause of the downfall of the NDC, a situation he is so happy to see because he will no longer be the president of Ghana, even though on the contrary his genuine and non selfish nature could help the daughter who is MP today to be a future leader in the NDC.

During all this time of his leadership the country Ghana was at its peak with numerous changes to lifted an average Ghanaian with hopes and high expectations. He did what he had to do and served two terms. The NDC party then went on to progress until defeat in the general election won by the NPP with President Agyekum Kuffour as the County,s president. Rawlings name will always be remembered as the founder of the NDC but on this ocassion i believe Rawlings should do the honourable and stay aloof in all activities related to the NDC which have moved on since his absence and wished the party all the very best. But involving himself too deeply including criticism on the party members and current leaders will be seen as an enemy and could tarnish his reputation and can also left with a huge damage to the party something which proved significantly in the general election in 2016 and lost as a result. Given advice to the party is one thing,criticising constructively is another but worse of all criticising destructively would not be helpful and can be dangerous. Stay away and enjoy your achievement.
