There was near pandemonium and confusion at the Annual Global African Investment Forum held in Westminster, Central London after a heated exchange between Ghana’s President John Mahama and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults.This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year. This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States, Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.

John Dumelo has obviously been exposed for his stealing but the most fundamental question hanging in the air when he was caught, has to do with the Constitutional provision(s) which allows the first lady to go about dashing and dishing out national security assets, which he cited as the reason he was in possession of Ghana's property.
Unless he was telling a big, fat lie, Ghana needs to interrogate the rights of the first lady to be doling out national security assets or Ghana's property to characters such as John Dumelo.
Because if the reason John Dumelo gave when he was caught with the stolen property is to be believed, that will be the greatest exercise of crass wanton and egregious impunity ever to be recorded in the history of this country by the Mahama NDC gov't in this 4th Republic.
Ghana from every conceivable perspctive was on shaky grounds in terms of governance, under the Mahama NDC gov't and it was assuming a dimension to be described as dangerous for this Republic.

I am sorry but this BS will only happen in Africa. This dude should be prosecuted and bring out those who gave him state properties as gifts to answer for their dumb acts. Citizens living outside Ghana bring cars to the country and they pay duties which are always more than the purchased price of the cars. And oh, why should he be given a state property for free. If he bought them at a state auction facility, then he can have them, but since he is attesting that they were given to him by the former first lady... ha oyiwa...let them both pay for this nasty crime and others that they've committed.
