It is time the rest of us from northern region told the NPP and the NDC that Gonjas are not the only people who live in the Northern region, there are equally other tribes with equally competent people like Komkombas, Bimobas, vaglas, Tampulimas, Basaris, Nawuris etc in addition to the three Gbewa Families of Mamprugu, Dagbon and Nanung yet during the just past NDC administration, Gonjas were put in most lucrative civil service positions just to facilitate the employment of their people in to those institutions , it was alleged that in some of them if you were attending an interview you needed to either just speak Gonja or wear a Gonja smock as your dress code and you will be sorted out. forget about the political positions like ministerial appointment, it is the technocratic positions that provide jobs and that was exactly what John Mahama was secretly doing with his people (Gonjas). now fast forward to this newly formed NPP government, one would have thought that any share of the region in terms of civil service appointment could have been given to some of the tribes mentioned above to also help some of their people in terms of the civil service appointments in order to ensure evenly development because whether we accept it or not politics or development in Africa is now reduce to patronage so any tribe that is at the peripheral will not get any thing, yet the Akufo Addo government seems to continue with the status quo, wait and go back and check how this Clifford Braimah guy will staff the Ghana water company with Gonjas to the neglect of others.

It's even worse than I anticipated. The politicians are the same..... their parochial and personal interest is what concerns them most.
