  It is time for a constitutional amendment to pave the way for MCEs and DCEs to be elected by the people instead of been appointed. The current approach is inefficient and creates too much tension and unnecessary bickerings. Parliamentarians should have some balls and make a case for this. The people are more familiar with those who would wish to compete for the Mayoral positions and the candidates can come from any of the Political parties in Ghana. I believe this will furnish more transparency and give the people some voice.
