You will have no doubt, that those morons trying to rewrite history have deceived your stoned heart.
What their doing is like, rewriting the BIBLE to suite satan: of course if that is possible, it will only deceive block-headed individual like you.

The fact is that, out of greed and jealousy, JB Danquah and his colleagues dissociated themselves from the independence struggle, something that they started and brought Nkrumah into. They abstained in the parliamentary vote for independence, and even went further to London to tell the British government that Ghana was not ready for independence. Read the Hansard. They went further to oppose Nkrumah's development programmes. For example, they travelled to London to tell the British government that Akosombo was not a priority for Ghana and that the British should not fund the project. Nkrumah had to get help from the USA. Then the numerous attempt to kill him, and finally their CIA-sponsored coup d'etat. JB Danquah and his colleagues are TRAITORS and should ONLY be remembered as such.

Professor Mike Oquaye is a brilliant academic. No question about that.
However, when it comes to President Nkrumah he loses his marbles, alas.
Nkrumah is Ghana's founder for the simple reason that it was his vision of the post-independence unitary republic in which there would be universal adult suffrage, which prevailed.
The opposing vision of Dr. J. B. Danquah & Co of a federation of pre-colonial tribal entities, dominated by their ruling elites' progeny, and in which the vote was restricted to property owners and wage-earners only, was roundly rejected by the ordinary people of the Gold Coast in the elections of 1951, 1954 and 1956.
How then can those who wanted post-independence Ghana to be a bastion of inherited privilege and tribal balkanisation, be truthfully regarded co-founders of Ghana, I ask?
And where in the world are traitors who during the struggle to free colonised peoples from colonial bandage, collaborated with Western intelligence agencies and were lackeys of British and American imperialism, regarded as co-founders of their post-independence states?
Nowhere is the simple answer to that one.
It is outrageous for President Nkrumah's detractors (specifically the 5 other members of the so-called Big Six) to insist that the traitors who denounced Nkrumah to the British colonial authorities (as evidenced in the Watson Commission's final report) should be honoured as co-founders of Ghana.
With respect, that is pure nonsense on bamboo stilts. Nkrumah is the founder of the Republic of Ghana - who completed the work began by many others long before he arrived on the shores of the Gold Coast from the UK, as he hinself admitted in his autobiography.
The Ghana that came into being after 6th March, 1957, was founded by him. Definitely. No question. Full stop.

Where you not the same people you propose to the Queen, Ghana is not ripe for self government .Again were you not the people you went to the Queen and inform her, Ghana was too small for the Akosombo dam. When Nkrumah was fighting for the nation to gain independence. J. B Danquah and the rest were opposing not to gain independence. Kwame Nkrumah is the Founder of the nation and the man of the Century. Mike Oquaye should come for history lessons and stop what he was saying.
