Why on earth will an employee of a public or national company be earning more than the president of the country - it does not seem right but Kufuor is trying to justify this outrageous salary. Maybe he even paid some friends he appointed in his government much bigger salaries.

Kufuor should explain why he thinks it is right to pay someone this much in a government company when the president of the country, Ghana, even does not receive such a monthly salary.

If Opuni really deserves this colossal sum, as the ex president wants us to believe, my question to readers (including Kufour) how Opuni's performance in office has uplifted the lives of millions of the downtrodden?

I blame Mahama too for allowing such a n injustice to be perpetuated on Ghana.

And folks, this is just his salary. What we haven't been told is the other perks that came with his position.

For about 3 or more years in a roll the output of cocoa has decline and you are somehow defending this outright stealing made by gangs in this institution who are rubbing each others backs at the expense of the poor cocoa farmers whose toil we are not appreciating. I will expect all cocoa farmers in the country to stand up and demand absolutely sole owner ship of their produce and determine wherever they could sell their produce at a gainful money and pay taxes to the government. Enough to this cheating by the government which had been going on for so long.

I guess Cocobod has a board and the then board was involved in determining the CEO's compensation.
I think the current Chairman should have been more cautious in handling this matter.
As a Chairman of a board , you don't have to rush to the media with such a sensitive matter. Elsewhere, it could have affected the price of Cocobod shares if it were listed.
The Chairman is doing politics. Its unfortunate a well respected person like Hacman got it wrong just because he wanted to satisfy the appointing authorities

Their woes which started during the colonial era was continued when Nkrumah took the reins of government in the early 50s without changing it. Because they do not have literates among them to voice their course hence successive governments have continued with this draconian attitude.

Opunis salary is completely outrageous comparing that to the Chief Executive of the Country being the President. Private Institutions are different from Public ones so those commenting in support of Opuni in any diverse ways should reason before spewing nonsense. Those defending him are senseless as Opuni himself when an institution you are managing is not making any headway like Hackman is saying. Where in the world will a private company which is under performing pay an outrageous salary to its CEO This would have been a harsh reaction form the shareholders which I think Cocoaboard does not have shareholders.
