The struggle for independence started way before Dr Nkrumah was invited to join the UGCC. It is therefore valid for anyone to say that Dr Nkrumah is not the only founder of Ghana

Why are you debating this issue at all? Yes, Nkrumah was the first native President of Ghana (historical fact). But the founder of Ghana is/was the British. It was the Brits/English who on signing the so-called Bond of 1844 began to bring the various tribes etc. together to form the Gold Coast Colony. This was climaxed with the 1956 plebiscite that added a war booty, the Trans-Volta Togoland to the Gold Coast only to be renamed Ghana (a name allegedly suggested by Danquah) by Kwame Nkrumah. Stop this debate and work to build Ghana. instill discipline and patriotism and stop plundering Ghana. Stop those square pegs in round holes etc.

Speak to people and you can see this underlying Superiority complex . Well, northerners must rise up and break from these stupid people calling themselves Ghanaians. After all, what do they have left. Only polluted river bodies, degraded forests, they've sold their gold and oil to foreigners. What again is left that they think others are parasiting on? They even lack human resources. Average they are not intelligent. The north must rise and break away and in a few years they will know where we are. We are no man's slaves. What is the use of this necessity when anybody with any modicum of sense would know that Ghana, as the Gold Coast, evolved and existed long before Nkrumah appeared on the scene? Nkrumah even didn't suggest the name for the country for crying out aloud! EX-Prez Mahama's analogy with Jesus Christ and Christianity is so inappropriate and ridiculous that any sensible person can compare the achievement of Christ to the atheistic Nkrumah who, at best only founded the CPP political party. Christianity as the religion we know today evolved long after the death of our Lord Jesus through lives of his disciples and followers over the centuries with Peter as the first bishop of Rome for the Catholic church and later spin offs like the Protestant and other denominations! Where did Mahama ever hear anyone claiming that Jesus founded any Christian denomination? His thinking is so warped and shallow that it is not surprising that he failed miserably as the accidental President of unfortunate Ghana!! Nobody founded our dear country Ghana, Mr sad Mahama!!!

Kwame Nkrumah broke away and formed the CPP and WON us Independence. CPP formed & led by Kwame won the day and is therefore the founding father. After all the Duchess of Kent gave the Independence scroll, the symbol of our nationhood to Kwame Nkrumah and installed him Prime Minister of the Gold Coast still under the UK crown. In July 1960 he won the Referendum that made us totally Independent from UK. This was against JB Danquah. Who found Ghana? Osagyefo show boy of course!
