I like Keli too but on what basis do you say he is more deserving of the role on the basis of merit? If merit is the only thing, my bet is on Addison for one simple reason- the governor must have the capacity to direct advanced research to design, predict and evaluate developments in monetary policy.

Keli may be a good hand in investment management but he doesn't come with demonstrated competence in advanced policy researc. In contrast, with a PhD in Economics and practical experience (e.g. as former Chief Economist of the West Africa Monetary Institute and Director of Research at Bank of Ghana), Addison comes with just the right training and hands-on experience required for the job!
