The NLT (New Living Translation) is way too loose a translation of the scriptures. It smacks of dumbing down the text, as if us black people can't understand scriptural truths unless they're simplified for our lower minds. There are better versions out there KJV, NASB, even the controversial NIV and NKJV.

To my understanding Salvation. Yes, Jesus Christ was Prince of peace. I cannot recall the political world peace He negotiated on nations, except He was operating in peace, as His followers also did and doing. Jesus Christ flocks do not spread gospel with gunshots. They do it amicably bliss. And it is not about democratic demands on nations.

And ERA came, they were in bondage by ancient Rome colonisation, they did not like. That later put them on brain drain like what is happening to other nations.

When the scriptures say, they are blinded, it means they cannot see the ways of God, because, they rejected God new world order that was initially theirs. Until accepting that, they are what they are, outmoded period. Let them convert to Salvation on proper application and see the outcome. Some people in USA especially thinks they know the holy bible than the rest of the world, yet to thecontrary. They themselves are not measure up. Whether we want to believe it or not man has an enemy, Satan, who wants all Adam's descendants destroyed in hell with him. He is relentlessly counterfeiting the word of God in whomever or wherever it is found-- be it in the remnant church, the Christian life, the bible, and Christian institutions like the marriage, and worship. His aim is to cause man to die in his sins by delaying his submission to Christ through misguided traditional and the even so-called scholarly teachings and interpretations of the word of God. "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour." 1 Peter 5:8
Ever since God kicked Satan out of heaven, Satan's anger has been on the Word of God, which reveals God's character of love, mercy and justice as the Creator of heaven and earth; and exposes Satan as a rebel angel who only wants God's power and His creation, but not His character. This is why he is doing all he can to neutralize God's redemptive purposes through the power of his word (see Revelation 12:10-17).
The word of God assures us of the power to live the Christlike life when we accept Jesus as our personal Saviour in Acts 1 :8
"Ye shall receive power after the Holy Ghost is come upon you and ye shall be witnesses unto me..."
