Was the headmistress insured to drive the pickup? What class of driving licence does she hold? What official business was she on a Saturday and where was the official driver? These are questions which need to be asked. If the headmistress is not licenced to drive the pickup then she must be surcharged for the repairs. We need discipline in our public service.

The story seems unreal to me. If the car veered off the road and landed safe in the bush after jumping a gutter, why should the headmistress be accelerating to the extent that she nearly ran into a building but for the intervention of the stump. Was her brake not functioning or she thought she was being chased by the police. Further and better part of the incident need to be furnished to the public.

At least the pictures we have seen in the story can show that the stump stopped the car. But for the stump the car could have moved further and probably run into something else.
