Just look at the way they tried to defend the cost of the Vice President's residence, they argued that the construction cost was $3.9 million and not $39 million. In the end, when the contractor brought his contract documents, it showed $39 million plus. They also argued on the missing vehicles that the government was lying, now they can't defend John Dumelo's cars found at a repair shop. Gradually Ghanaians will see how diabolical some these guys are. Even with Woyome's scandal, they remain impervious to reason. I have friends in the party, and I have stopped sympathizing with them.

This man's knowledge of the law appears to be good for the classroom and not the law court. He should read the comments Ayariga instantly made on the report when it was read and go further to examine the interest that Emile Shorts showed in Ayariga's comments. He should also read lawyer Agawuda's comments too all of which show Ghartey's Committee report is bogus and needs to be consigned to the dust bin of parliament. I hope the case goes to CHRAJ or an other body and let's see how it would go there. It is very unfortunate that in a country that has been crying against corruption and we have a president who is said to have clean hands in corruption, anti- corruption crusaders have become mute over this issue. Elsewhere it would have been different. Parliament should not be seen as untouchable. It was utterly wrong for Parliament to have even handled this case. So if allegation of murder was made against an MP in parliament, is it parliament that would investigate? Ayariga's response to the report appeared to have floored the speaker and one could visibly see that written on his face.

Day in day out in our courts, in daily marriage ordinances, in all manner of swearings in, people are using the Koran and Bible to make all kinds of pledges only to end in failures, falsehoods, marriage breakages, corruption, and all sorts of social blasphemies.
Ayariga swore with the Koran to say that bMuntaka gave him some bribe money,, Muntaka swore with the Koran to say that he never gave any such bribery money to Ayariga. Joe Ghartey swore (with the Bible) to find the truth in the matter. Now, let us suppose that it is Joe Ghartey and his committee who are misleading the whole nation with the findings of their investigation! Where do we go?
The time is long overdue for us to find alternatives to swearing with the Bible or the Koran.
