The President never promised to build new boarding facilities ok, he said it explicitly that those students in the existing boarding facilities will enjoy it freely and those in the day schools will enjoy a free lunch. We have the same system in the US. Don't compare our abilities to make things with the Europeans because if we Africans with our abundant natural resources take prudent steps to develop our economies, we shall experience such an unprecedented development that will shift the next civilization and industrial revolution back to Africa after more than 10,000 years in the wilderness. After all we Ghanaians first implemented the Free Universal Health Insurance before US passed that law and trust me, there is nothing that suggests that the US health insurance program is perfect ok?. Just like any new system the Americans are still struggling with the implementations, nevertheless they know that eventually they can bring it to the impeccable standard. So just give credit to the Kuffour Administration for making it possible for us to be the first country on the West African sub region and the fifth on the whole continent of Africa to enjoy that privilege. After all your Mahama in one of his speeches said that "we have to admit that we can never be like the Americans and the Europeans so we should appreciate what we have". To my understanding, that was an admission of a failure. China was a poor and undeveloped country just 40 to 60 years ago, the Chinese depended on the paddy field rice cultivation at that time as the source of their foreign exchange earnings. If today after less than half a century, China has become the second biggest economy in the world without the abundance of natural resources that we have in our country, why can't we aim higher than the Chinese.

Government cannot do anything for anybody, however, they make people feel they can help solve their problems. Do not get me wrong I HATE NDC and their lies as they are far worse. However, promosing and delivering on Zongo promise does not make sense. There are more depressed areas not only in the Zongos, why give them special prefrence. It is the Zongo people who have to wake up to the filth they live in, that causes diseases and poverty. Look at the clothes worn by the elders shown in the picture. It tells more on the moral of the story. No matter what you give them their preference is for something else. Outward appearance in public, appear rich and superior to others but neglect your living environment. How can government change their mentality? You cannot legislate or influence attitude with money. Akuffo or no politician have the right or power to change attitudes. It must come from within, at least they are subsidised to Mecca, why do they not change their environment to look like what they see in Mecca? Something is missing from the Zongo people which they should find from within. Mahama and Ayariga, Suhuyini are all from their midst why don't they enlighten them on their unsanitary living conditions?

A government can create an environment for prosperity. I agree with you about the change from within but the entire society has an obligation to push through agenda(s) that can help change attitudes. The problem you have articulated herein is not akin to the Zongos alone in Ghana and for that matter Africa but to the other people(s) as well. Sanitation is very problematic in Ghana as a whole. Parts of Accra and Kumasi not occupied by the Zongo folks are filthy as hell.

You are talking about another welfare or entitlement program, how do we pay for the welfare, pay interest and debt, attrack industries with lower tax rates and get the country going again. You keep uveburdening the finacial health of the country when we are already in financial distress. I do not see any future for the country. Ghanaians are way lost in the field of advancement. We are petty, just looking around ourselves not solving problems. NDC was TOXIC but I am begining to be disappointed in this one too, though better than NDC. This is not what we need, make Ghana GREAT for all Ghanaians not pick and chose.

The second industrial revolution started in about 1870 and 1890s up to the early 20th century and the second industrial revolution is also known as the TECHNOLOGICAL REVOLUTION. This happened in USA and the EUROPE. The term industrial revolution simply means a period in which machines or technological advancement change peoples way of life. Here I am talking about Africa championing the next technological or cyber revolution ok. I was forced to marry late Busanga chief's son Yahaya in Kumasi who at the time was married with five children had no job wife selling water in the market living in one single room with the five children plus no toilet in house children carrying toilet to go and throw away just to tell me that a stall has been allocated for me to go and sell salt to come and feed the bastard and his parents who also lived in a house with no toilet.children born by the chief's daughters do not carry shit in the morning to the public toilets to dispose of but children born by the chief's sons who's mother's do not belong to that stupid family have to be woken up from their beds early on morning to carry shit.most annoying part a house of over forty what children and overt two hundred children and over five hundred great-grandchildren no education at all. Thank Allah I managed to escape and thank goodness I'm now a qualified nurse and the bastard of that Yahaya is still squatting in the that same Sabon Zango one room in Kumasi sheygu
