  Trade unions are a menace to private enterprise and every effort should be made to tame them. Even in the public sector they need to be tamed. Don't stop people from embarking on strike but just like every worker, they must earn every wage. For that matter, anytime any work stays away from work on the basis of trade unionism, they must not be paid. So put monies aside, if you want to go on strike. That's how Margaret Thatcher was able to tame the unions to the benefit of British industry.
