I am thrilled to read that 25 companies have been honoured at first Maritime and shipping Awards despite the fact that Ghana Black Star Shipping line was destroyed by the short sighted military and bogus politicians in the seventies and the eighties. When the then Ghana Black Star shipping line first arrived in America manned by all Ghanaian trained captain, engineers, stewards and crew, both white and back Americans rushed to the harbor to see the first shipping line travelled all the way from Africa to America with all African crew manning the ship safely. It was a pride and celebration. So for the nation to preserve Maritime and Shipping association is a blessing.
