  He was right in the sense that Appiah has not done anything to show that he is a better coach than the one who was sacked, and as such should not be rehired now that the task is even harder. Palmer's error was when he went on the air while the process was under way to choose a new coach. He rather should have voiced his opinion to the committee tasked to interview and choose a neew coach.
