  I don't know what is wrong with this Woyome guy. The Supreme Court of the land ruled that you obtained the money illegally so you should refund it. Led by your supposedly powerful well-learned lawyers, you agreed to pay back and hence committed to a clearly laid-out payment plan. You paid the first instalment which in itself was an absolute indication of your acceptance of wrongdoing.
  
  Now instead of continuing on with the payments, you have run to the ICC, asking it to overturn the verdict of Ghana's Supreme Court?
  
  So What did Woyome do with all that colossal amount of funds within that short time span? Indeed, I can't think far!!

His conduct was criminal. In any civilized country criminal charges would have been brought against this man.
  Why have the courts approved judgment debts? Any judge who has ever approved a judgment debt payment should be investigated. They receive bribes from the payout. The government itself is not obligated to pay the judgment debt. Yet, the government without a protest of any kind readily pays. Why is this man not in jail?

  As much as I hate individuals using all sort of connections to dupe the country,I think the decision from our apex court in the Woyome case was so disgraceful that it should be expunged from our judicial record if we still want to attract foreign investment.
  
  To shift a duty of procedure by government on to investors just to find loopholes and disqualify them is the height of unfair judicial decision and an independent arbitration will in this case be the right one.
  
  Since by coming to that conclusion our apex determined that,that contract between Woyome and Ghana was foreign,it qualifies and has the locus for international resolution.

  He must lucky to be still walking free, and enjoying interests on the money, in the very least. If he were any smarter person, he would even still remain richer with any dividends his investment of the stolen money might get him, after he pays State. He would be still much better off than most Ghanaians. So, what the heck is he holding back the money?
  
  I think the new Administration must act more aggressively to strip him of that ill-gotten wealth and promptly so.

  This guy has taken us for fools. Woyome presented fake contract papers to corrupt government officials and got paid for work which did not exist. Political players of the day, the Ndc government and appointees, collaborated in stealing the money from the treasury. The Ndc and some government ministers raised heightened defense in the malady. Woyome must be a game boy, he got a light sentence from a judge when the matter was taken to the law courts by an individual, who was convinced that the nation had been given a raw deal. Woyome promised to pay the money when he finally hit a snag at the apex court. He agreed to repay the money at given dates. This was permitted by the courts! So why the broken promise and now, a flight to the International Courts?

  His payment was to demonstrate to the ICC that he was forced by the courts in Ghana to act in that manner.
  If he wins this case then Ghana is likely to pay extra monies to him. Lets see how it goes
