No, you don't need to hear from them. They must respond to the charge in court. What is needed nisrien for the court to be firm on the matter. This is a contempt charge so I don't expect the court to invoke a 'public policy" principle. Aside being a police officer Bay is a trained Lawyer and should have known better or done his homework properly before engaging the law. This is an abuse of office as well for which he must be punished administratively. We wait to see the result of this legal test and whether Ghana is a lawless country.
