Admonishment is enough. Everybody knows he peddled falsehood, but instead of pulling the plugs when his attempt at "equalization" jest turned to serious offence, he allowed the fabrication to fester until it became too late to recall.

Having boxed himself into a corner, he decided to dig in his heels; thinking to withdraw his statement would attract even more insults from the majority party members and general public. So his ego and foolish pride took over and that is what has gotten him into deep trouble. The lie to cover a lie was even worse. So far as Ayariga is concerned the bullet has left the gun barrel and he can't recall. Just like Canadian moose, they only go forward, even towards danger. Ayariga doesn't know reverse.

Speaker should just scold him and tell him to go and sin no more. He is no worse than Kennedy Agyapong the NPP blowhard firebrand.

The difference is between the two is Kennedy Agyapong does not do his nonsense in the chambers or floor of parliament where it would count. He goes on the airwaves and bleat like a crazy billy goat.

Ayariga should have been banned from the parliment for at least 2 months and fined heavily for the false allegations,insubordination and behaviour unbecoming of a parlimentarian.During his sanctions his votes would have been casted for him by the leader of his party and the fine deducted directly from his salary and benifit until totally paid off.I think Speaker Quaye let him off too easily.

Why make up such egregious, intentional lie against somebody and keep doubling and tripling down till your back is to the wall?

Ayariga, corruption at the Sports Ministry, now concoction in Parliament. What's his value to his country?

As I have maintained all along, Akufu-Addo Presidency will be the worst in our short history as it has already started to unravel. He should know by now that there is more to nation building than long speeches in acute British accent.

Ayariga did not accept his guilty and the biased investigation did not proved that the MPs were not bribed either, but according to their prejuidice findings Ayariga can not subtantiated his allegation. What the majority deeemd expedient or truth does not prove its expediency or truth. Truth is a dream except if the dream becomes true.

How can someone in a democratic dispensation forced to apologised?.
If the speaker knows that he has done due deligence he should have applied the maximum sanction without intimidation.

Because the speaker wants to put all his malicious intention, corruption and mediocre performances behind him he is intimidating Ayariga to apologised.
Whether Ayriga apoligised or not the discerning Ghanaian's Know your true colours.

Ghanaians should beware that the babies with sharp thieves which Ayariga is a member are still "wild" after their great electoral defeat. Can anything honourable come from the name Ayariga ?. Have you forgotten AyariCough ?. I hear that they are related ... what a mischievous family ?. Okudzoto and Suhuni should advice themselves. If they had their own way under the previous parliament and got away free, this time around it will not be like that. Criminally minded parliamentarians should take note.
