KNOW (caps extra) that German media work totally different from that of Ghanas. In Germany, NO NAMES will be published in the media. Even when they do, they would publish something like Nana G. for Nana Gyamfi, Nana George, Nana Gyedu, ie any surname starting with G. Even here, they would do that in very rare cases, ie when the crime is very very henious.

I saw that photo-fix on RTL News some 7 days ago, when the news broke and again yesterday, when they reported that the man had been arrested. He forgot one fact detectives always never do: and that is culprits will (in about 99% of the cases) return to the scene to check reaction or try to remove traces.

One thing you MUST know is that German press IS VER VERY careful and NEVER publish speculations. German press will publish information ONLY a speaker of the police has given a verified statement.

In fact, when the reported that the culprit has been arrested, they did not mention his nationality and to be honest, from the face, I thought he was a Yoruba.

They must have done that later, but I certainly missed that.

This is so because, if you publish wrong information about a person, then know that you have some money to pay for libel and you will pay a lot for violating the RIGHTS OF PRIVACY.

What you should also know: in Europe in general and in Germany in particular, there is something called VIOLATION OF RIGHTS OF PRIVACY, which you people in Ghana have never heard.

It simply means, you are violating somebody's private life, if you publish the names, age, address, without an approval from the police or law courts since that person will certainy SUE you.

And as long as the police has arrested him, any other thing is in the hands of the courts.

Press works totally different here because they take into consideration PRIVACY RIGHTS. But in Ghana they trample upon your privacy.

I live in Germany and have seen this news on three channels: 2 state owned (ARD-HD and ZDF HD) and one private RTL-News.

You see, most of these Ghanaians here only watch YouTube, visit Facebook, Twitter and all those CRAP ...

Later I watched the same on ZDF and ARD - all of course in HD (since 29.03)

I remember I was in my bedroom when my little daughter shouted 'Papa, komm schnell, ein Afrikaner hat etwas schlimmes getan und er wird gesucht'

You people stay and watch nonsense on YouTube, Facebook all the time, so that you don't really know what is going on in Germany.

In fact, when I saw that photo-fix, I thought the culprit was a Nigerian (Yoruba).

Finally, I'll advise you to use some for news, which I and my family do every single day - exception is ONLY when any of us misses it because they were not at home at news time.

You should also remember that in Germany NEWS is NEWS - basta. Unless it is a very serious case like that ofthe truck driver killer Anis Amri at the Berliner Weihnachtsmarkt on 25th December 2016, German media will publish news ONCE. If you publish NEWS twice, it is no longer news.

That is, they report it today and the next day they will hardly re-publish the SAME. If you miss it, you may have to get it from from someone or these, on the web.
