Hiding it behind closed doors may deny the lady a fair outcome. As Ghanaians we have a right to know whether some idiot has insulted as or not simples.

No matter how painful the offence, it's up to the State (the plaintiffs, the prosecution, the accusers) to prove the defenders guilty.
Don't flip the statutes, judge.

I am just surprised that the Ghanaian co-workers of this lady are trying to defend the foreigner who has abused the human dignity of this lady. How can you dip a human being's face into a blender full of pepper? Is her face chicken thigh or fish? The Ghanaian defence lawyer too is saying that it was not pepper but rather sauce because bcause it was a mixture of pepper, ginger, onion etc. What kind of thinking is this? He should know that the mixture of pepper and other ingridients become sauce when they are cooked om fire. At the raw stage it is not sauce. This man must be put in prison and after that deported. Period.

This senseless lawyer should shut and walk away from case. It is a weak defense. Why should a supervisor of the restaurant cowardly manhandled a female worker by dipping her face in a sauce made of grinded pepper, ginger and all kind of ingredients. It is common practice in a society like ours, that, its ok, to physically, mentally abusive, psychologically abusive and sexually abusive an employee without facing up to justice. In my view, the whole application of the law, must rightly take its course, in other to send a clear message to employers across the country.
