  I don't know where this $8.3 Million Dollar figure is coming from but the LOSS at the Tema Port ALONE every Month is about 100 MILLION US Dollars, if not more.

  For starters, about 90% of ALL TAXABLE goods are UNDER-VALUED. The Documents used to clear those Goods ARE NOT from the COUNTRIES of ORIGIN of the Goods. They are PRINTED at Tema Community Two.
  
  And there is OUTRIGHT Evasion.
  
  Also, most of the Goods going into the FREE ZONES are NOT raw Materials or Completely Knocked Down (CKD) or Semi-Knoked Down (SKD) as
  Declared. THEY ARE LEGALLY FINISHED GOODS.
  
  Even though Documents from IMPORT SOURCES might say the goods are CKD's or SKD's or Raw Materials ONLY a SMALL Percentage qualifies as such.
  
  Then there is the USUAL CEPS KULUULU.
  
  If the Authorities invite me, I will give them a Complete Breakdown of:
  
  THE LOSSES, THE SOURCES and HOW TO PLUG THOSE LOOPHOLES.

If u take or not take they report as customs officers. Nana should revert the merger with other revenue agencies and allow customs to stand alone. The president can't question the commissioner of customs on This leakage. U have taken all powers to a commissioner general who knows nothing about customs operations and u want something better in revenue? This is still the beginning.

  The writer may have some knowledge of the goings on at the port in Tema, it is presumed. However, It is common knowledge, a combination of lapses by officials from more than one government agency, may be involved in underhand deals, concerning classification of goods that arrive in the country and the consequent management of government revenues arising therefrom. But his assertion that the new administration is aware of the persons involved in the revenue leakage and do not do anything to stop the illegality, turns the writer's story into a speculative piece. The new government needs more money than any institution, in order to be able to proscecute the many programmes it has in the works. The writer may therefore have to be specific, to convince all that he has a good story to tell.

  Good work for this revelation. Excellent job. You did indicate that the no action is being taken by Government, particularly the Finance Minister and the new man appointed to handle the GRA affairs. They have been in power for roughly 3 months. So I expect that they will act soon. Meanwhile, please advise Ghanaians what action the NDC Government took to stop this corruption at the Tema Port.
