  NPP should pay a study visit to the Chicago Democratic Party that has been in power for over sixty years and literally runs the State of Illinois. Better yet they have put two presidents in the White House - Kennedy and Obama.
  It is a party like Nkrumah's CPP. The party bosses are a mix of common sense leaders. Not intellectual elites. And its power base is the grassroots at the ward/ prenstinct level of an army similar to the so called vigilante groups. They are called the patronage army. Their passion and loyalty are rewarded with jobs. The system of self interest put together by it's architect - Lawyer Richard M Daley became what is called the Chicago machine. The party bosses are not the lettered or degree elites but practical common sense leaders at the ward level who take care of their grassroots loyal supporters.
  Nana please note, the 110 ministers plus all the elites you have appointed won't keep you in power. Your grassroots will. There are so much patronage jobs out there at your disposal . So why is the party on the sidelines regarding dishing out of jobs for the grassroots? It would be futile to think you can control the so called vigilante groups you created to win power. You can suppress but not eliminate with State corercive power. Channel their passions and youthful exuberance into something good.
  Don't look at the forces as bad people. They are good people that can be agents of good.
