We fell for it hundreds of years ago and we are falling for it now. The funny thing is that with all the activists we have in ghana,none of them has ever organized any event about this. One thing i have issue with is that, we don't have timelines in most of our organizations. We should give them a month time to get out; like by june 4, no galamsey, period. But if we saying stuff like leave, leave, leave, they will be buying time. If nkrumah were to be saying we want independence without a timeline, we would have still been in bondage. He said independence NOW.So lets also give our leaders a timeline to act if not we do it ourselves. Timelines are so IMPORTANT!!!!

If the leaders are not ready we ,I say we the youth will take action and it will br brutal than coup de try.
Our citizens are being brutally killed in other countries, expecially south Africa ,their crime is working hard to support their families home ,they are even doing their own jobs like hair dressing ,shoe makings ,dress making, restaurants ,afro shops,second hand shop sellers ;even with these they are being targeted for taking the south Africans job ,that is their crime.
And we allow other people to come to Ghana to touch our natural resources and destroy our livelihood ,how dare.

The momentum on the fight against galamsey should not die down at all.
All Ghanaians should unite and fight against this evil threat to our very existence. If we fail to fight it away now, one day we will moan and mourn and blame the Chinese for the destruction of our forests and river bodies as we blame the Europeans for for the selling of our kinsmen into slavery in the 18th and 19th.
Lets rise up and do everything constructive to halt the menace.
We can resort to positive defiance and demonstrations if the authorities fail to respond.
Where are the chiefs and the traditional leaders of our land? They should please re-earn our respect and loyalty by standing up for the environment.
Where is the Okyenhene? I understood him as an environmentalist and loved him so much for how he spoke for and about our environment! What do we now see happening at his own backdoor KIBI? I was shocked at what I saw there when I went for a funeral about a year and half ago! We MUST engage in POSITIVE DEFIANCE against the authorities if they fail to help the evils of Galamsey,
Ghana Youth lets rise up in a united front for our future - the river bodies for our existence, the forest and land for our prosperity.
Arise! Arise!! Arise!!! Against the evil threat of Galamsey.
Lets stop Galamsey now or it stops our very existence.
