I think the biggest achievement of the NPP so far is the stop of the rotting of the Ghanaian cedi. This was something the NDC was never able to do in 8 even years.

“If I am going to use part or most of the 10-year bond that I issued now to take off treasury bills that are above 19 per cent, then I am making savings in terms of the nation’s debt service commitment. I am doing two things — I am going to stop rolling over treasury bills and bonds at 24 per cent and I am going to use the sinking fund to pay them off at a lower rate of 19 per cent over a longer period.This is Seth Tekper speaking in 20i6. So there is nothing new here. We have money in this country, not the selling of bonds. Nothing is innovative about this. The Multinational Corporations, particularly, those in the extractive industry are shifting profits to tax havens through the manipulation of transfer pricing with reckless abandon. The little they agree to pay in taxes are also evaded with the connivance of the big guys at the tax office. In most cases they just bamboozle,cow,bully, and intimidate these tax managers because their capacity is constraint. These are some of the big issues which needs redress and not the signing of agreements and issuing of bonds. The two are mundane. Nothing exciting, nothing interesting.

Listen my friend. You can't implement this many projects with only a few heads. I have no way of knowing this but I am sure these projects would be managed or allocated evenly across the numerous ministries. If you give one m ...

Listen my friend. You can't implement this many projects with only a few heads. I have no way of knowing this but I am sure these projects would be managed or allocated evenly across the numerous ministries. If you give one minister 10 major projects to manage, he or she would be spread so thinly they would not do an effective job.
Next year when the $500 or so budget is allocated to railways, the transport minister cannot do an effective job managing it if he's already deeply involved in various roads project. A railway minister would be fully dedicated to the project and can do an effective job. Efficiency savings there can be huge if more time is allocated to the planning and implementation of these projects.
Look at the bigger picture and you will feel better about it.

This is why we are not moving forward. Just following this party thing. Now they have more than 3 years and he has been able to do all this in 100 days, instead of us to praise them for what they have done so they will do more, look at what you are saying.
God is watching us all. If this country goes on well, all of us will be beneficiaries and see what you are saying. Aren't you ashamed of yourself?
