His biggest scandal, as was reported by the New Times is that he sub rented his private jet to the Ghana government and this is the same jet that made a big news headlines all over the world as the American Jet spotted at the Iranian airport when in fact The lranian regime was still under economic sanctions by the world. It happened like this, just before the 2012 elections, for what ever reason only known to himself, lbrahim Mahama gave this plane to an American Trust in the state of Utah. Really it's not clear according to the newspaper which other properties he might have given to said trust in addition to the private jet. This is a serious issue because someone who defaulted on his loan to a bank and sought to hide his properties through a Blind Trust as far as l know should be made to answer some questions to the Ghanaian government.

if the goods were under estimated who had the authority to do the calculations ?
i may not be a tax expect, so if i imported goods and the customs declare them tax free to release them to me why should you question me about it ? if you dont trust the customs officer just remove him/her from that position.
As a matter of facts and important we should not entertain this type of nonsense in our democracy.
if he smuggled the goods into the country that is a fine case to track him but if the goods pass through the hands of appropriate mandated authorities before it was released to him then he has no question to answer get this right.
