  A step in the right direction. Thank you guys. Laws are made to be obeyed. No one is above the law in Ghana. It's our nonchalant attitude towards law enforcement that's at the root of the nation's under-development. Every law that's in the books must be obeyed.
  We seem to have taken things for granted for a very long time. I have a lot of respect for the current President because I am very optimistic that under his watch Ghana will take the turn for the better. The other day I read that teachers were changing their dates of birth. My goodness! This will never happen in any developed nation and if it does it'd be as rare as finding a nugget of gold on every New York City Street. The other time some misinformed aggrieved citizens were demonstrating against the Vehicle Licensing Department claiming that driving is their right. That's bullcrap. Driving is not a right anywhere in the world. It's a PRIVILEGE that can be withdrawn anytime should the person fail to meet the required standards for safety on the roads. Enough is enough for the foolishness and the disregard for the rule of law.
  These guys are fighting the good fight and all right thinking citizens must have their back.

  From the quotation of the law, it is the responsibility of the political parties to publish their audited accounts. Once they are published, the CGM will be able to read it in the papers.

  Suing the EC will not be necessary UNLESS the law stipulates that ordinary citizens should get their information from the EC. If that is true, then why should the law dictate that the parties should publish it? This means the EC has no responsibility as to the making available the audited accounts except to chase the parties to publish their accounts by the due date after which sanctions will be applied in accordance with the law.
  
  CGM, please let's stop being dramatic in such simple things. If CGM had said they will sue the political parties for refusing to publish such accounts (I'm sure the law will have put a time bar on the parties) I would have supported them. As it is they simply wasted my time. I was alarmed when I saw the headings asking myself what has the EC done?
