  The idea that we cannot re-direct some water bodies into the Akosombo River is mind-boggling. This is the kind of suggestions that will bring Ghana to the 21st century!

  Water is not only used for power generation. What about those who depend, downstream, on the rivers that we are thinking about diverting?

  Instead of redirecting rivers into the Volta, we should diversify the power generation and construct power dams on big rivers like Ankobra, Tano and feed their power into the national grid. That way, incase any of the dams get faulty, ther other ones will stil provide power.

  Politicians come and spend to buy again and the cycle continues.. its the poor who suffer.
