Water is not only used for power generation. What about those who depend, downstream, on the rivers that we are thinking about diverting?

Instead of redirecting rivers into the Volta, we should diversify the power generation and construct power dams on big rivers like Ankobra, Tano and feed their power into the national grid. That way, incase any of the dams ge ... read full comment
Instead of redirecting rivers into the Volta, we should diversify the power generation and construct power dams on big rivers like Ankobra, Tano and feed their power into the national grid. That way, incase any of the dams get faulty, ther other ones will stil provide power.
That way, we won't put all our eggs in one bag:
We MUST finally do away with our CENTRALIZATION mindset and think seriously about DECENTRALIZATION of resources.

Politicians come and spend to buy again and the cycle continues.. its the poor who suffer.
