During the state of the nation address, the president said a loan was secured from Canadian government but refused to mention the previous government because he wants to take the credit. Even that time his ministers were not appointed so who now negotiated for the loan? If indeed the NDC had initiated this project and had gone to the extent of securing the needed funding, WHY DIDN'T the NDC ORGANISE a press conference to claim ownership of this idea the very day the President talked about it in the state of the nation address. Now it will be difficult convincing Ghanaians that it was an initiative by the NDC that has been STOLEN by the Akufo Addo administration. The NDC SHOULD LEARN TO BE PRO-ACTIVE at all times lest the NPP, known for plagiarism, will always STEAL NDC's LOFTY IDEAS and claim originality for them. NDC should immediately organise a press conference and let the former Minister's of Agric and Finance tell Ghanaians that they did all the groundwork and secured funds in addition to the revelation by Hon Sam George. They SHOULD also tell Ghanaians that the NDC HAD ALREADY done all the ground work including securing funds for the Accra-Akosombo railway line, Tema Harbour, Takoradi Harbour and Terminal 3 of the Kotoka International Airport AND ANY OTHERS.They should never leave it with any individual in the party to tell Ghanaians since it will be taken lightly. You have passed on the baton to the NPP after the citizens of Ghana had sacked you. You must commend the NPP government for following up on a good program you initiated. Does it matter who started and who implemented the program? In the end it is the citizens of Ghana that the Canadian taxpayer wants to help. Canadians and Ghanaians are the ones who should take credit for the program 's success! Not political parties. The NDC government did not make agriculture a priority, which was part of the reason it was sacked. The NDC attempt to claim credit posthumously is childish.
