  REFORM OR DIE.That is what the Taxi Union needs to understand.The government will not stop competition in the country just because they refuse to reform or upgrade their services.Ghana Taxi Union has had decades of uninterupted monopoly but refused to professionalise or even upgrade their services.While other countries have adopted metererd charging system,electronic payment system and substance abuse monitoring systems,our taxis have remained unchanged for over 70 years.When are they going to establish industry safety standards and utilize the available technology such as apps to enhance this sector?

  This is just another attack by a corrupt local group who are disgruntled because we have been offered a better alternative. The times of our greedy taxi drivers overcharging us, stealing our phones and the likes are over. I personally won't mind Uber having all the stickers required by law. The yellow color cannot be forced on them. Uber is here to stay. The only reason we are taking uber now is because our taxi drivers were killing us with high fairs. Our phones were never returned whenever we mistakenly left them in their taxis. Uber has solved all that. Riding in Air-conditioned cars in the hot sun at fairly cheaper rates is value for money, and that's what counts. Government is not forcing us to take Uber, we take it by choice because it gives us better value for money.

  They should learn how to cope with them through proper dialogue because in the states, ubers don't have traditional taxi colours of the various taxi groups

  my insurance company sent letter saying if i decide to do uber/lyft or deliver pizza to people for fee then you buy commercial insurance
