Ghanaians have become more enlightened and cannot be fooled with such lies. EOCO would just investigate Ibrahim because Ken asked them to. Also they knew there was a case that is why they spent so much time to investigate and ask him to refund the bounced cheques. Anyway, is it true that the bounced checques were 44? Would that mean he signed post dated cheques and all bounced? We are no babies.

GRA under its Act is rightfully claiming duty plus interest through EOCO and ignorant people are say government owes Ibrahim through the Ministry of Roads for the use of the equipment he evaded import duty on. Are we serious if my brother owes you and I take you to court to pay your debt to me you argument will be that it is unfair because my brother to owes you. Does the Ministry of Roads and GRA have the same function, contract and obligations to Ibrahim Mahama. This shows that Ibrahim Mahama is a stark illiterate businessman. He does not know book. Let me help him GRA is bound by law to charge and collect duty for imports. if you want exemption you apply to Ministry of Finance and the seek Parliamentary aproval for the exemption. As for Ministry of Roads if they owe you take then to court and demand interest. It is no excuse to default on duty payment or issue dud cheques to GRA. That is a criminal offence. Now shut up and pay the GHC 12 million

Mr writer, my questions are:
1- WHICH BANK ON EARTH ISSUES POSTDATED DRAFT?
2 - DOES THE WRITER KNOW WHY BANKERS DRAFT IS COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS MANAGERS CHEQUE?
3 - What did Ibrahim gave to the bank in exchange of the 44 postdated bankers drafts?
If the instruments given to GNA were drafts why would Ibrahim have questions to answer, after all banker is money, and the onus will been on the bank to make good on due date if what writer is making people ever existed?
My advise is infuture do your homework very very well before you take stands for certain facts, for there are certain facts that cannot be twisted.
Let me make it clear to you, NO bank will issue a draft to a customer without been paid for. Ok?
Please ignore this writer for he doesn't understand what he is talking about. Issuing a dud cheque to any state institution is a criminal offence, and moreover to GNA for payment of Tax.
People import common bicycles if they are not able to pay for the duties are confiscated, why then should someone been given inflated sole-sourcing contract be allowed to take delivery of imports years before duties are paid.

Ibrahim issued bad checks, not one but several, and the Herald says there were arrangements for Ibrahim to spread the payments over time, when he knows that upon taking delivery of the equipment he had to make payment to Customs, and that's why he, in the first place, issued the checks that bounced. The story by the Herald stinks, and shows journalistic dishonesty.

I remember that last year, a friend of mine who came from Belgium brought a corn mill and two cars when he was coming home after 6 years living in Belgium. Then on his arrival, his wife and daughter were killed in a car accident.
