Kennedy Agyapong must get hold of himself since EOCO or which organization that's out there are not going to prosecuting Ibrahim Mahama in any way, manner or creed.

Now, below is the reason why Ibrahim Mahama was invited by EOCO to appear before her, but not some dud cheques brouhaha that Kennedy Agyapong is peddling about. So, please, enjoy the real facts of the story, folks.

Ibrahim's company of Engineers and Planners was asked to execute the Tamale-Salaga road project stretch for government. They agree with Ghana Revenue Authority to spread GHs 16million duties and taxes imposed on the equipments they imported to do the aforementioned project over some 12 month period from contract certificates paid by the Ministry of Finance.

Engineers and Planners are to pay the deferred taxes with interest. This is a facility GRA extends to many Ghanaian enterprises. The arrangement works perfectly and bankers drafts are paid to GRA in exchange for post dated cheques deposited by Engineers and Planners, then along came NPP administration, which found it necessary to suspend payments on all government projects across the board until their budget presentation.

As a result of this, Engineers and Planners Certificates of almost GHs 20million remain unpaid. The Government owes Engineers and Planners GHs 20 million and Engineers and Planners in turned owes GRA GHs 11million. So, Ibrahim argument is, pay me my 20 million so as I could also pay the Ghana Revenue Authority the GHs 11million owe to them as well. It's that simple a matter.

So, the EOCO's invitation was about the understanding and the truthfulness of the agreement in the above matter and not some twisted story from Kennedy Agyapong. EOCO is also aware that Engineers and Planners was given some time to honour her debt payment to GRA, which is about some 8 months away according to the signed agreement for the completion of payment.

Such, folks, is the reason of EOCO's probe.

When I heard the latest EOCO saga, my immediate reaction was anger at this political liability Ibrahim Mahama has become to my political idol President Mahama. But when I heard the real facts of the case, I can't help but indict Government for political harassment of persons close to President Mahama. Especially considering that Kennedy Agyepong correctly predicted EOCO's invitation of Ibrahim Mahama last Tuesday. Engineers and Planners imports equipment to execute the Tamale - Salaga road project for government. By the GRA's payment schedule with Engineers and Planners, the amount outstanding according to the agreement by April ending is GHC2 million. Hmmmmmm! A clear case of political harassment. Political jingoism.
