History education should be included in the school just and shs curriculum. I didn't know much about gh history until after form 3 at Gh national. We learned about the old african empires in songhai, Mali and gh, timbuktu, egypt to slave trade, otto von Bismarck and the partitioning of africa to colonialism to paa grant to nkrumah and the big 6 and we read books written by gh like amazing ama again aidoo, Sutherland, soyinka, achebe, adu boahen etc. Learning about african history was so educative. Sometimes I felt like crying. Such curriculum I think don't exist in gh today for the kids to learn.

To say that Young Pioneers did worse than Delta and Invincible forces are doing in Ghana now shows how uninformed and bias you are.Those who were afraid of the Young Pioneers were the unpatriotic saboteurs who were doing everything in their power to bring Osagyefo's government down.Young Pioneers never invaded courts,never destroyed government properties and never indulged in violence like the Delta and Invincible forces.They existed to protect and advance the interest of Ghana.The Young Pioneer movement was a disciplined movement and not like the rag tag Delta and Invincible Forces hungry,unemployed indisciplined members.Nana says he believes in the rule of law but at the same time he has trained and released monsters who are 'devouring' Ghanaians.

Zebila,your comment is very interesting but some people would still attack you.imagine a nation like Ghana where history of the people are no more taught in their basic to secondary schools,all because some tribes think their history is more to do with our neigbar countries so they must do every thing posible to destroy the important history some of other tribes forefathers have created for Ghana.eg we had Yaa Asantewaa image on one of our currency Note to encourage our women no matter which tribe but at the end some people kick against it,for the picture to be remove.then come some political parties due to their incompetent character they chose to divde the nation against the tribes and that's has lead to unpatriotism hate behavior running throughout the minds of must Ghanaians who have weak sense of knowlange to see the Kind of hypocrisy been concated into their dialy life.there are now common english words in Ghanaians vocals eg,primitive,illiterate and sometimes broken twi language mix with english like cocoasi kurasini and so on.so this is the new generations we are seeing.
