MANY TIMES WE NEVER CONSIDER THE TYPE OF FIRES THAT OCCUR AROUND US, HUGE FIRES ARE THE CAUSE OF HIGHLY INFLAMMABLE MATERIALS NOT NECESSARILY GAS OR PETROL ONLY, FIRES WHICH CANNOT BE PUT OFF SIMPLY BY POURING WATER ON IT, HAVE YOU HEARD OF THE "FIRE TRIANGLE OR DIAMOND" BEFORE?- A FIRE NEEDS FUEL, HEAT AND AN OXIDIZING AGENT, FUEL IS NOT ONLY GAS OR PETROL, BUT ANY MATERIAL THAT ARE COMBUSTIBLE.

Ghanaian investors should start to think about the way things are happening. Ask whether there were fire hydrants within the premises of the incident. If not why? Look at the distance fire engines travel for water to fight fire. Hydrants are sealed by the water company with the excuse that firemen sells water, what shame. No Ghanaian have ever challenge this foolish excuse. It seems we don't value our investment. There should be some fire protection equipment available that could have prevented the fire from spreading before the arrival of the fire personnel. This place as a business center even with a hotel should have got a serviceable hydrants or automatic sprinkler's that could have easily control the spread of fire to the adjoining buildings. I am pleading to those who have put up huge buildings without the necessary fire protection equipment to quickly rectify that before the next disaster. Dr lndoom l believed you have insured your property.

The whole building was made with wood/timber. Dr Nduom should have treated the timber he used for the construction with anti-fire preservative.

Poor Ghana and typical incompetence. The Ghana Fire Department branch is located is just a few minutes away. Yet could not extinguish fire when it started because of poor response, training techniques and equipment.
