Why should a 25 year-old able bodied Ghanaian be denied the opportunity to serve in the Armed Forces simply because he is married. Some of these rules just don't make any rational sense. Revise the rules now!!!!!!

Couldn't we have "risked" and bought at least one attack helicopter (like the Mi35) which will need more air crew, more technicians, more engineers, more support units and more fighting commandos who will use it thereby justifying the recruitment? This is one mistake governments have been making in the past. No spares for aircraft, ships trucks and tanks yet more recruitment every year.

Someone should sue Ghama military because their internal rigid rule or bylaw is unconstitutional. Preventing a citizen from becoming a member of your institution merely because he or she is married is purely depriving the person the right he or she has as a Ghanaian. This should be challenged in the High Court or Supreme Court. One thing I like about U.S Supreme Court is that the accept and sit on matters like this, which has effects on society and it does not matter who is prosecuting a state or government, the Supreme Court would listen and adjudicate the case. But in Ghana our Supreme Court judges think they are lesser gods so they do pick and choose--they determine which case to accept in their chamber and which one to throw away. Most often, when an unknown person or someone not popular petition the court or sue someone or the government, the court throw the case away and tell the person he or she does not have the "locus" to bring such a case to court. However, if that same case had been brought to them by a politician or CEO or managing director, the court would sit on it. So what type of a nation are they building? A nation for the oligarchy (the rich) or all inclusive country? The nonsense of "no locus " ought to stop because that in itself is unconstitutional. In America here, any citizen or immigrant can walk to the court and challenge the government or a particular U.S. State law which is not in tune with modern society but that cannot be done in Ghana. Most Ghanaian judges, after their appointments, have not read any modern book to help them revise their way of thinking. They think one way so they adjudicate one way. They are of antiquated minds. If I were in Ghana and was under 25 with a wife, I would have deliberately applied and if they denied me joining Ghana military, (which in any case I don't even like to join), I would have sued them at the Accra High Court to give me reasons why they denied qualified married people under their bogus ordinance. Another problem we have in Ghana is that most of the lawyers do not educate and inform society to know their rights. And they do not challenge the system to help the poor people benefit from Ghana. Bogus lawyers. Anyone who thinks he or she is a Ghanaian and falls within the age range and has a wife or husband, feel free and apply. If they turn you down on the basis of your marriage, please go to court and your name will be written in gold in Ghana. Test the law to change the rots in Ghana.
